A little more than six months ago the series came to an end, but still new information on the characters are still being revealed, which speaks of the impact it had on the audience. They were not very happy with the ending that was bestowed upon the series. For that reason, new theories are emerging, such as the one that elucidates that Robin Arryn is the son of Littlefinger in ‘Game of Thrones’.

As we know, Littlefinger was depicted as a very manipulative character, who always pursued at all costs to lay things in his favor or to take advantage of. One of his main objectives was to conquer the iron throne, so he forged a significant relationship with the House of Arryn to obtain his goal. During that time he fell in love with Catelyn, but she did not correspond, however her sister Lysa did, despite this he ended up marrying Jon Arryn.

Jon and Lysa had a single descendant, Robin. Sometime later Jon lost his life in bizarre circumstances, this allowed Littlefinger to regain Lysa, and thus become the Lord Protector of the Valley. Even with all of this already in his hands, he murdered Lysa in order to more easily manipulate Robin, who according to one theory was his son, something the books can corroborate.

According to the novel, ‘A Song of Ice and Fire,’ Robin’s appearance was strong proof of this fact, since he is described as a pale, dark-haired and very small child, while Jon is blond and had a robust complexion. The child’s appearance coincides more with Littlefinger’s genetic makeup than Jon’s.

Also in the book it is revealed that Lysa became pregnant from Littlefinger, however, her family forced her to lose the baby, although the novel implies that despite this, they continued their relationship. On one occasion she tells him, “I want us to make another son, a brother for Robert or a sweet little daughter,” which would imply that Robin is Littlefinger’s son.

For these reasons, everything indicates that Robin Arryn is the son of Littlefinger in ‘Game of Thrones.’ This could never be proven in the series, however, in the novel, Littlefinger is still alive. Perhaps George RR Martin, reveals whether this is true or not before the story comes to an end. Littlefinger has always been a force to be reckoned with.
