After months of rumors, it has finally been officially announced that the actor and filmmaker Ben Affleck will be involved in the production of ‘The Batman’ that Warner Bros and Matt Reeves are developing for the DC Cinematic Universe.

Ben Affleck will participate as a producer, we still do not know if he will finally be the star of the film. When the ‘The Batman‘ project was announced, Ben Affleck ( ‘The Justice League’ ) was the director, actor, screenwriter and producer that the studio had chosen to take on the project, but after more than a year of rumors Ben is part of the production crew, now we just need to see if he’s part of the cast.

The news comes from a report by Production Weekly who confirmed that Ben Affleck will be the producer of ‘The Batman’ with Matt Reeves as director of the film.

Production Weekly has also confirmed that Reeves plans to start official production in the spring next year 2019. A few days ago Matt Reeves dispelled the rumors that the plot of ‘The Batman’ would be based on one of the works of the famous writer Frank Miller. Matt Reeves commented that his story would be completely original and that it would show us a noir story of Batman demonstrating why he is considered the best detective in the world.
