Two crocodiles tried to feast on a zebra crossing a river. However, the animal managed to free itself and avoid being eaten by the reptiles. This fight to the death was immortalized by a video captured by a witness who posted on social networks.
Footage of a zebra fleeing from two crocodiles, which attacked it in a river, was broadcast on social media. The incident took place in the Masai Mara National Reserve in southwestern Kenya.
The video shows a zebra being attacked by a crocodile. The reptile holds it by the leg in hopes of drowning it. Several times the animal half disappears underwater, but it keeps striving to rid itself of the reptile’s teeth.
At one point, when the animal lifts one of its front legs, a crocodile holding it comes out of the water. In the background you can hear the other zebras screaming as if cheering and encouraging their friend too press on.
When the zebra has finally managed to get closer to the shore, another crocodile notices it. At this point, it looked like it had little chance of getting through.
But the animal made a last desperate movement and fled to find solid ground.
However, instead of quickly leaving the area, the zebra along with its comrades return to the water, at least to the shore section, and quiet literally seem to mock the crocodile’s failure.
