Owen Wilson, star of ‘Zoolander’ and ‘Midnight in Paris’ has signed a deal with Marvel to have a leading role in the Disney+ series ‘Loki.’

The Loki series for Disney+ has signed Owen Wilson to play an important role. The above has been confirmed by ComicBook, who anticipates that the actor who participated in Zoolander and Wedding Crashers will have a leading role in the series starring Tom Hiddleston.

Marvel

If confirmed by Disney, this will be the first time that Owen Wilson appears in a Marvel project and this might open the door to future appearances in the MCU films. It is unknown if the actor’s role will be comedic, or what the type of relationship he will have with Hiddleston.

The plot of Loki takes place after the events in New York in Marvel’s Avengers 2012. If you can recall, Loki is responsible for the Chitauri invasion on Earth after making an alliance with Thanos in order to obtain the Teseracto.

Loki, like Wandavision, will connect with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Kevin Feige confirmed in November that both series will be related to the sequel of Doctor Strange, so there could possibly be a cameo coming to us from Owen Wilson in the movie.
