Many years before the existence of The CW and the Arrowverse, the comic book universe flew onto the small screen with a hit series that included Tom Welling as Superman, Kristin Kreuk as Lana Lang, Michael Rosenbaum as Lex Lutho and Erica Durance as Lois Lane. The story centered on a teenager Clark Kent who learned to deal with his love and personal dilemmas, his powers and hormones. But it seems we haven’t seen the end of the show since a sequel to ‘Smallville’ is in the works.
After 10 seasons and 218 episodes, the series ended with relatively good ratings, more than four million viewers watched the show, which is why, despite the age, it has established itself as one of the most beloved by fans. Recently, the appearance of Welling and Durance in ‘Crisis on Infinite Earths’ was one of the most anticipated and seen.
Although the series ended, the story continued in the comics, season eleven came into the hands of fans as a graphic novel, where Clark accepts his past and finally acts as Superman, in its pages we saw the entry of two great characters, Batman and Wonder Woman, so it would be perfect if, if live-action is not possible, at least this story would get to TV in some way.
According to specialized media websites, the sequel to ‘Smallville’, is basing its story on the season eleven comic, although it remains to be seen how true this news really is, it would be interesting see these characters again.
