The Netflix continues interested in the zombies genre. After Kingdom’s success, the platform will bet on a new series focused on the theme – to also compete with “The Walking Dead.”

Deadline guarantees that the service is developing a series called “All Of Us Are Dead.” The production is based on Korean comics, made available on the web, which are entitled “Now At Our School.”

The production will be lead by Lee JQ (Intimate Strangers), who will also be directing with Kim Nam-su. The script is by Gun Sung-il.

The series begins to be developed during an interesting time. Website portals suspect that Netflix works on the show because of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19).

In “All of Us Are Dead,” a group of students are trapped in a school when they discover that a zombie virus is spreading rapidly around the world. The series will explore the confinement tendency, as with the coronavirus.

Of course, that’s not the only thing that inspired the platform. Series like ”The Walking Dead” remain popular – the series has a franchise with derivatives and was nonetheless inspired by similar films.

Furthermore, this will not be an isolated attempt by Netflix. In 2019, the platform tried to make a comic-based production, with the title “Daybreak.”

However, unlike other series of the genre, Daybreak was canceled after the 1st season.

At the moment, fans can watch “Kingdom’s” two seasons on Netflix. Sincere final chapter of “The Walking Dead” was cut short by the coronavirus.
