After the statement that  Green Lantern would get a series on HBO Max, little was said about the project. Now, according to Variety, the show is finally in development and will feature Guy Gardner, Jessica Cruz, Alan Scott, Sinestro and more!

Variety says the series will tell stories of sevral Lanterns , exploring the mythology of the characters featuring  Guy Gardner, Jessica Cruz, Simon Baz, Alan Scott and other well-known heroes from the comics. Sinestro and Kilowog will also be present in the series.

HBO Max has is considering 10 episodes, one hour each. The series will be written by  Seth Grahame-Smith and  Marc Guggenheim who will also be executive producers. The site claims that  new heroes will be featured in the Green Lantern Corps.

Guggenheim is already a well-known figure of DC Comics. He was responsible for structuring the Arrow Verse, in addition to being the co-writer of the infamous Green Lantern film, which featured  Ryan Reynolds as the protagonist. Grahame-Smith is a well-known writer and screenwriter, involved in projects like Lego Batman: The Movie and Shadows of the Night. He also produced the two most recent IT films.
