The Monster Universe has always been thriving in the theaters, and the great hunter Van Helsing is arriving with a new film. According to Deadline, the reboot will feature James Wan, director of Aquaman, as the project’s producer.
Also according to the website, Julius Avery from Overlord, will direct the new film and write the script. In addition to Wan, the production will feature Michael Clear.
Van Helsing first appeared in the novel Dracula of Bram Stroker and since then has gained numerous adaptations. The most popular one for this generation includes Hugh Jackman, who brought the character to life in the 2004 film.
According to Deadline, details about the new film are being kept under wraps, but it will be a reboot set in the character’s universe. And because of it’s natural anecdote, it couldn’t be different, the film will be full of suspense and horror.
Hopefully, Van Helsing will follow the model that was established by The Invisible Man. Now, instead of creating a shared universe, as was the intention with Dracula (2014) and The Mummy (2017), the Monster Universe must tell separate tales, showing these classic characters in their own stories.
