80s fans have been wanting to see many of their favorite TV show characters on the big screen. For that reason, Hasbro has long tried to build a cinematic universe based on its own line of toys, now it seems that it will seek to boost other franchises like MASK, who’s characters could appear in the Transformers GI Joe crossover.

The Transformers movies could have been extremely successful at first, however, over time they were heavely criticized, and GI Joe did not do so well either.

The two military films performed fairly well at the box office, but did not receive good reviews from the public and experts. This led to the third installment being postponed indefinitely and the upcoming movie will focus on ‘GI Joe Origins: Snake Eyes’ instead.

Nevertheless, in order to build this universe they have decided to adapt another of its properties. Therefore, MASK’s characters could appear in the Transformers crossover with GI Joe.

The Mobile Armored Strike Kommand, better known as MASK, is set to make its live-action film debut when the characters meet GI Joe on the big screen.

It’s no secret that Paramount is looking to mix up both franchises, but expert Mikey Sutton has indicated that MASK’s characters will also be added to the formula.

MASK was adapted into an animated series that addressed the special task force led by Matt Trakker, who operate transforming armored vehicles in their ongoing battle against the criminal organization VENOM (Vicious Evil Network of Mayhem) with an emphasis on super powerful helmets, called “masks”, worn by the characters of both sides.

VENOM’s main goal was to obtain money through theft, extortion, forgery, or stealing historical artifacts, but MASK always found a way to thwart their plans.

The crossover would be an epic encounter for fans, although it might be confusing to see the intertwined history between the giant alien robots, the elite military unit and the armored vehicle task force, or it might be the most epic confrontation in history.
