This new Netflix series is full of intense scenes that almost make you forget how complicated it is to figure out the timeline. The three stories mesh to result in an excellent show and with only eight episodes you realize that you didn’t grasp every detail. No need to worry, Netflix just released the timeline of ‘The Witcher,’ the only one that matters, the official one.

Book fans shared their own timelines, to help other people understand how the story of Geralt, Yennefer and Ciri goes during the years 1210, 1249 and 1263. Keep in the there are scenes from the first episode that occur at the end of the timeline.

The official Netflix account on Twitter shared an image to help us understand ‘The Witcher’s’ timeline in a way that old and new fans can understand through so much entanglement. It all starts with episode 2, when Yenn is sold to Aretuza, then we enter episode three where Yenn’s body is transformed, followed by the Butcher of Blaviken scene from the first episode.

The elves who kidnapped Geralt and Jaskier from the second episode are next in the timeline, continuing with the murder of the Queen of Yenn that occurs in the fourth episode. The fight between Geralt and Striga is what follows and hence we jump to 1249 when Ciri’s mother promises the girl to Geralt which happens in episode four.

From here we go to the fifth episode where Yenn and Geralt meet, following in the sixth episode the previous characters meet again to hunt the dragon. Once again we jump in time to 1263, episode seven where we see Geralt returning to Cintra to claim Ciri and save her.

Now we return to episode one where Calanthe loses the battle of Marnadal Valley, once again we jump to seven to see when Yenn returns to Aretuza and back to the first episode where Calanthe commits suicide. We finish at the eighth episode when Yenn vanishes to win the Battle of Sodden Hill and when Geralt and Ciri finally meet.

Is it clearer now? Maybe you can watch it again following the timeline just make sure.
