‘IT’ is a symphony of meta-terror, an intricate nightmare in which we are constantly questioning; is what the character seeing real, where is the film trying to lead us and will we ever have control over the horrific conclusions we are conjuring up in our own little minds about the plot?

Staged in 1989 in the town of Derry, Maine, the story takes place against a backdrop of deep proletarian misery.

Stephen King has said that ‘IT’ is his most personal novel, which makes us wonder what his childhood must have been like.

What sets this story in motion is the disappearance of Georgie (Jackson Robert Scott), a boy who disappears in a terrible way near a sewer during the first 10 minutes after running into the aforementioned Pennywise (Bill Skarsgard).

Photographer Lance Allen Reis took on the challenge of creating a magnificent yet horrifying photo session about this nightmare inducing being, ‘IT’.

Before you begin to moraly question how such a young boy can stand in front of a terrifying clown? Let us put you at ease. The little boy’s name is Aeyr, the son of makeup artist Taelor. He grew up being around his mother’s makeup creations.

“The little boy is the son of my makeup artist. She was there during the shoot as well and he watched the whole make up process. We chose him because he is so used to his mom doing horror makeup and we knew he really wouldn’t be scared.” said Lance.

This makeup artist, Taelor’s creation of Pennywise (Kyle) is so realistic, that it could definitely cause night terrors for the silly people who suffer from clown phobias.
