Thus, this theory establishes 5 fundamental points to connect Peter Pan as the son of Mary Poppins and, the truth is, they do not lack reason and meaning:
- Both can fly.
- Both hail from London in a similar time period.
- Peter was separated from his mother at a young age.
- Mary Poppins is fixated on taking care of other people’s children because of the deep emotional rift of being separated from her own son, even as he follows in his mother’s footsteps in a sense by taking care of the Lost Boys.
- The reason Mary Poppins always leaves London after a short stay is because, like Peter, she isn’t immortal if she stays.
As you see, the two have several facts in common that coincide and would make this theory true, although we do not know for sure if Mary Poppins could be the mother of Peter Pan since there is nothing that officially confirms it and the two are characters from works by different authors, making this connection even more complicated .
