Capitan America (Steven “Steve” Rogers) is one of the oldest characters in Marvel Comics (in fact the second, since it was published in 1941 (December 20, 1940), two years after the Namor by Bill Everet and three years after the first superhero (Superman, 1938), when the publishing house was still called Timely Comics.
His creators were Joe Simon and Jack Kirby (“The King”) who, in the middle of World War, created a superhero who fought against the Nazis, which caused his success to become immediate. In fact, the cover of the first issue showed Captain America hitting Adolf Hitler himself. Between the collaborators of this phase, the script emphasizes a story written by a young Stan Lee, who would also bring the Red Skull character into the third issue from the series to life.
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie Avengers: Endgame, Steve Rogers determines to take it upon himself to restore the timeline. Captain America returns the Infinity Stones to their proper time and place. He also decides to finally live the life he wanted and remain in the past with his beloved woman, Peggy Carter.
