The prequel to ‘Game of Thrones’ already has a start date. It will be in October, this is surprising since it will not see the light until at least the year 2020. The HBO chain contends that the eighth and last season of the series has a margin so that the fans can enjoy the end, before they arrive prequels and sequels need time so they can be well developed.

The spin off has been created by Jane Goldman, author of Kingsman, and G.R.R. Martin. In a script written entirely by Goldman, you can expect to see the history of Westeros long before Daenerys Targaryen, Jon Snow or Arya Stark arrived. It even has a provisional title: “The Long Night”, and will be set in 10,000 years before the time of the already released eight seasons.

HBO has given the go-ahead to the pilot, and after the complications that arose in the first chapter of season one, it is not surprising that they will want to have enough time to make the changes during the post production. In the first season, there was a change of director, changes in the script and Emilia Clarke was included, who was not in the initial scenes.
