Video game adaptation to the cinema are more and more common. The opportunity for fans to reimagin which actor could best embody their favorite character on the screen is a great debate. But now, let God of War fans rejoice: Twitter has just found the perfect candidate to play Kratos in theaters.

As often as it always does, it all started with a tweet, when author Neil Gaiman launched a funny challenge asking for people to post a photo of themselves as the leader of an underground organization.

The results were not long in coming, each ranging from their simple pictures to images of eventful evenings, and deadly serious portraits. But one photo stood out from the crowd.

Sony

The actor Nick Offerman, interpreter of Hardy in 21 Jump Street and Karl Weather in the series Fargo has been emulated among fans of God of War as Kratos. At the conception of his empowering beard, his shiny bald head and his intense gaze, the social media users did not fail to make the connection between the actor and the son of Zeus. To the point where even one of the creators of the game, Cory Barlog reacted to the post.

Alongside his acting career, Nick Offerman also has his own carpentry shop where canoes are made. Some Internet users were excited by the comparison to Kratos and the gameplay sections where he uses a boat. Others have even suggested that his skills might allow him to build his own ax. An even greater godsend for producers who will save on the design.
