The second season of The Mandalorian is certainly pleasing fans, with several plots and special guest appearances from the saga. However, no aspect has made the audience happier than the presence of Ahsoka Tano, a much loved Jedi who showed up in the fifth episode of the season.
In the episode, the Mandalorian seeks to find and talk to Ahsoka to find out more about Baby Yoda’s past. There, we discover that his name is Grogu and that he has a very tragic history. However, the chapter did much more than provide answers for the series itself.
According to The Verge, the release of The Jedi, title of the fifth episode of the second season, led to a huge increase in interest in The Clone Wars, with more research on the internet and more comments about the animated series that aired from 2008 to 2020.
In addition, the series became more sought after and watched on Disney+. The site also asserts that Star Wars Rebels, another animation featuring Ahsoka’s participation, similarly saw an increase in searches, even though it was not as big as the increase in interest for The Clone Wars.
According to the creator of the character, Dave Filoni, we will still see a little more of Ahsoka, since the character will have a “bigger journey”. That is, it appears as though she is here to stay for good. This brings great possibilities to the Star Wars universe, for example, a solo series for Ahsoka herself, which would be an extremely fascinating thing to see.
