Super Mario Bros, the most famous game for the NES, has millions of fans around the world and to this date still conceals many mysteries. The title, starring the mustached plumber and his thin jealous brother Luigi, hides several tricks that only few know how to reveal. For example, this method that lets you jump over the first level flag to continue advancing after the castle.

The objective of Super Mario Bros was very simple: you had to traverse and complete a world full of traps, lower the villain’s flag and enter a castle. To achieve this, the plumber and his fit brother Luigi had to face off against evil mushrooms, flying turtles, among other creatures.

The Nintendo game, which was a hit on the NES console, was divided into eight worlds, which are also subdivided into four parts. The last one was the most complicated, since we were in a castle and had Bowser as an adversary.

If we defeated the villain we could rescue a servant of the princess in the first seven worlds and Princess Peach in the last. Once the game was over, the game would restart again, but this time the level of difficulty increased enormously.

Because it is a classic, many players still play Super Mario Bros on their NES, PC, cell phones, among other devices. They are extremely popular that they have even found several glitches, one of them is at the end of the first level, who would have guessed?

Everyone thinks, that it is impossible to go over the Bowser flag, since barely touching it would have lowered it and have taken you to the next level. However, there is a method to jump over it over and you can try it for yourself. If you still dare?

The video from Youtuber CrazyVideoGammer is in Spanish, however, we have provided the translation of his explanation in the following paragraph.

As you will see in the video, for this trick to work you have to allow a turtle fall ricocheting to the bottom of the screen and let it follow you. Once you get to the flag, wait for the turtle to pass under it, of course you’ll have to time it right, then jump over the flag and for some reason the game thinks you stepped on the turtle causing you to leap over the flag. That’s it!

If you followed the steps correctly, you will be able to advance beyond the castle from the first world of Super Mario Bros and you will notice that it is a completely empty area free of enemies. However, you can’t go back and your only purpose now is to wait for demise when time runs out.
