Star Wars wants to continue exploring its extended universe after the success of The Mandalorian on Disney Plus, with spin-offs derived from the show or other series.
This will be the case with Thrawn, whom we saw in Rebels and may be seen in the upcoming Ahsoka Tano series, since as we discovered in the Mando story, is being sought after by the Jedi.
A project about the origin of the Grand Admiral, might be in the works for the Star Wars universe. After much speculation, insider Daniel RPK reported that Lucasfilm is developing a movie focused on Thrawn and that it will reveal his inceptions.
This report comes to us days after it was reported, by the same source, and a few other references, suggesting that Robert Downey Jr. is in talks to join the Star Wars universe.
The announcement also states that his character will be nothing more and nothing less than, the aforementioned of the ruthless admiral.
However, since none of this is concrete, even though the source has been right before, take this with a grain of salt, but we also need to remember that we are not far from seeing the ‘live-action’ version of this character.
