According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jamie Foxx will again play the villain Electro in the third Spider-Man movie, and this time, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to the website, the actor is in the final negotiations to return to live the character. Foxx played the villain for the first time in The Spectacular Spider-Man 2, a film starring Andrew Garfield that was highly criticized by fans and movie experts.

Details on the plot of the film were not disclosed, but THR says that Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Jacob Batalon and Tony Revolori will return for the project.

If Marvel continues with this cast, Foxx becomes the second actor who has ever participated in a Spider-Man live-action to reprise his role for the MCU. If you can recall, JK Simmons returned to play the journalist J. Jonah Jameson in Spider-Man: Far from Home.
