Once again the new Bruce Wayne interpreter is giving us something to talk about, this time, he makes sure fans understand what is really important about this movie. British actor Robert Pattinson apologized, but not really, for saying that Batman is not a superhero.

The protagonist from the upcoming Matt Reeves movie, ‘The Batman’, had stated that one of the reasons he wanted to play this character is because he does not consider him a superhero, which provoked criticism from the Dark Knight fans.

Until now, Pattinson’s experience as an actor, especially from what we saw in the “Twilight” films, has caused intense scrutiny.

In an interview for the website Time Out published on January 27, 2020, Robert Pattinson apologized for saying that Batman is not a superhero, although there are those who say he wasn’t serious.

“I wasn’t educated about the subject,” he confessed, “People got very angry about it. It’s bizarre. I still can’t understand the argument. OK, he’s a superhero, I’m sorry!”

He proceeded to jokingly say, “The next headline, ‘Pattinson retracts – Batman is, in fact, a superhero. He takes it back’.” This should have been the headline of this article, oh well, maybe next time.

Pattinson is obviously aware about the news released about him and the criticism that comes with playing the role of a superhero, especially when he is one of the most popular superheroes on the planet.

Now that he is the new Bruce Wayne, the actor made it clear that he does not focus on what people say before the movie is finished.

In an interview with The Lighthouse, the star said “I’m only worried about if people like it when it’s done.”

Based on the comments of the filmmaker Reeves, ‘The Batman’ could be unlike any other film version of the character we have seen on the screen.

The release date of ‘The Batman’ is June 25, 2021.
