The stage of Robert Downey Jr. playing Iron Man may have come to an end with the outcome of Avengers: Endgame, but in real life, he seems to remain in the skin of Tony Stark.

According to the information from Forbes, the actor announced a new project called The Footprint Coalition, whose purpose is to clean the planet with the use of cutting-edge technology.

As part of the re: MARS Amazon conference in Las Vegas, Downey Jr. said,  “Between robotics and nanotechnology we could probably clean up the planet significantly, if not entirely, within a decade.”

“I’m going to spend the next months putting this together correctly and getting actual smart people around me,” he said. “In 11 years, when I’m 65, if we’ve made even a little dent in what I think is a massive threat to our future and the mess we leave behind, I’m going to come back and throw the nuttiest retirement party you’ve ever seen,” he added.

Beyond Downey Jr.’s statements at the conference, there are no more details about The Footprint Coalition, except for a website under construction that says “Thanks for your interest in the Footprint Coalition, and for caring about Mother Earth. Sign up for our newsletter and you’ll be the first to know about our next steps on this environmental journey.”
