After the release of ‘Spider-Man into The Spider-Verse‘ the idea of a sequel emerged, which is already in development. In addition to reports of a live-action version, which could unite the three separate accounts that Sony has developed; in recent years, apparently this idea is already in the works. And according to some rumors, Tobey Maguire will lose his life in the ‘Spider-Verse’.
One of the greatest successes that Sony Pictures has had in recent years is the animated film ‘Spider-Man into The Spider-Verse‘, which was the winner of the Academy Award for Best Animated Film. The movie depicts several versions of the arachnid hero, among them, Miles Morales who was the protagonist of this movie.
According to information from journalist Mikey Sutton, there are plans for a new version of this adaptation, and Tobey Maguire is, unfortunately, going to lose his life in the ‘Spider-Verse’. This story will be very similar to the one we saw in 2018, which will be set in the time period of the Sam Raimi version. After the death of this Spider-Man, Miles Morales will take the mantle of the hero, as well as make contact with different versions from other universes, specifically Tom Holland and Andrew Garfield.
Although this idea has not been confirmed so far, perhaps Sony has great plans for the arachnid universe thanks to the popularity of both, its animated films, and the same character that is now part of the Marvel Cinematic universe. This is something fans are excited to see, especially since it all will eventually connect to Venom and Morbius.
