The Green Mile
The crew made a small cannon to shoot chocolate goo at David Morse. The goo hit Morse so hard it went up his nose, in his eyes, and into his mouth. Morse wasn’t amused, as he’s allergic to chocolate.
The Great Race
The pie fight scene lasts four minutes and was shot in five days. It is the longest pie fight sequence in movie history. At first, the cast had fun filming the pie fight scene, but eventually the process grew wearisome and dangerous. Natalie Wood choked briefly on a pie which hit her open mouth. Jack Lemmon got knocked out a few times: “a pie hitting you in the face feels like a ton of cement”. At the end of shooting the fight, when Blake Edwards called “Cut!” he was barraged with several hundred pies that members of the cast had hidden, waiting for the moment

Jaws
MythBusters dedicated a special episode to testing whether or not certain things from this film are plausible. It concluded that: Piano wire does not have the tensile strength needed to be used as an adequate shark-catching line; scuba tanks will not explode when shot; a great white shark can ram a dive cage with enough force to damage or destroy it; a great white shark has enough power to punch a hole in the side of a wooden boat under the right circumstances, but an example of this happening has never been documented; a shark’s maximum striking force is great enough to pull the barrels under, but the force a shark can generate in a continuous pull is insufficient to keep the barrels under water for a significant amount of time; a shark cannot generate enough force to pull a boat backwards with great enough speed that waves break over the stern; and punching a shark in the nose, eyes, or gills will cause it to flee or at least back off briefly.
Ghostbusters II
Originally, the producers planned on having the crashed Hindenburg appear as a ghostly airship. They dumped this in favor of the apparitions coming off the Titanic.
