A carpet python found a huge hiding place among the tools kept in the driveway of a home in a suburb of Brisbane, Australia. The image was posted by specialists from the snake capturing service, Snake Catchers Brisbane & Gold Coast, after being notified.
Although it is not poisonous, the carpet python can grow up to 10 feet in length, which contributes to their method of slaughtering prey, also known as constriction – the act of curling around an animal and squeezing the victim to death.
Some suspected that the post was just a prank by the page’s administrators: “This is one of those [challenges] ‘there is no snake’ and you are playing with us”, pointed out one user. However, that was not the case!
The python simply “reset” the camouflage item by being practically invisible between cables, brushes and other tools in the shed.
“Snakes like hot, compact places,” noted an internet user. And this one found the ideal place to do that.
