The new film by Karyn Kusama , has movie fans waiting, even more after the release of their first trailer.
The images make evident the great physical transformation to which Nicole Kidman withstood to star in the film. The Oscar winner, surprises with an unrecognizable appearance that includes a tired and thin face, a grayish hair and the use of loose clothes.
The 51-year-old actress plays Erin Bell, a Los Angeles police detective destroyed by a past in which she worked as an undercover officer in a dangerous California desert band of thieves. When the leader of the crew reappears years later, Erin must reconnect with the remaining members, all in order to face the demons that destroyed their past.
The protagonist of “The Hours”(2002), had to use a dental prosthesis to offer a totally emaciated appearance. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Kusama said that the appearance of Kidman’s character seeks to reflect “a real middle-aged woman with a past that can be seen on her face,” and that “sun damage, sleep deprivation, stress and anger, became evident in her state of mind and on her body. “
The film also features performances by Tatiana Maslany , Bradley Whitford and Sebastian Stan. Its premiere will be at the end of December 2018 in the United States.
