The new film adaptation of Mortal Kombat follows its course. Last summer new details were released about the production. They debuted a new character and would look for a new creative team to adapt the film even closer to the video games. The latest rumors released said that actor Joel Edgerton was to play the new Kano, now we know the new list of characters that will be featured on the big screen.
The list of characters in the new Mortal Kombat film:
Cole Turner – He is a retired and low-paid boxer who ends up being recruited to fight in the Mortal Kombat tournament, swearing to protect his daughter above all else.
Emily – Cole’s daughter, a girl who despite being 12 years old, is already a specialized boxing coach. She’s a lot tougher than she looks.
Kano – He is a former Australian special forces soldier turned mercenary and now wanted by Interpol for arms and drug trafficking. Murderer, he has killed many people and has a cocky attitude.
Lord Raiden – The Thunder God and protector of the human participants in Mortal Kombat. He will supervise everyone’s training for the tournament.
Sonya Blade – The tough blonde dressed in military clothes is ready to become the strongest champion.
Jackson Jax Bridges – With arms like cannons, he recruits Cole for the Mortal Kombat tournament.
Liu Kang – The Shaolin warrior of the White Lotus, is an expert combatant capable of throwing fireballs.
Kung Lao – This stoic warrior monk is capable of throwing his hat as if it were a deadly frisbee.
Sub-Zero – Known as the ice ninja, he has deadly eyes hidden behind a hideous mask.
Mileena – She is the Outworld assassin dressed in leather armor and capable of wielding deadly sais.
Shang Tsung – The timeless General of Outworld who oversees the tournament and its fighters.
We remind you that the script will be written by Greg Russo, who will also be responsible for adapting Resident Evil in a new reboot.
