The first images of Mortal Kombat, the next film in the franchise that will be released this year, were published today by Entertainment Weekly.

The new images reveal several of the characters already known in the franchise, such as Sub-Zero, Jax, Sonya, Kano and Scorpion. In addition to them, we found out about the character played Lewis Tan, who was previously in Deadpool 2. His role was a mystery until now; he will portray Cole, a character originally created for the film.
