Still with no release date, the Moon Knight series is definitely one of the most anticipated by fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The work will tell the story of Marc Spector, a man with psychological problems who ends up becoming the avatar of Khonshu, the Egyptian god of the moon and revenge. Now, we have official confirmation that Oscar Isaac will star in the series.

A few months ago, we heard rumors that Marvel Studios was trying to negotiate with the actor, known for his role in the new Star Wars trilogy and the upcoming Dune, to star in the antihero series. However, even at Disney Investor Day 2020, which brought several news and confirmations about the studio’s projects, they didn’t even mention Isaac’s name.

Today, however, cinematographer Gregory Middleton is responsible for letting “the secret out” on his Instagram, where he made a post thanking Mohamed Diab – the director-general of production. In addition, he also talked about how he is looking forward to working alongside Oscar Isaac, giving the confirmation fans have been expecting about the actor in the role:

To date, Marvel has not commented on Gregory’s statement, but since he is a prominent person involved in the technical details of the series, he knows details that are not accessible to the public (such as Isaac’s cast). Now, we can only wait to see the first official photos of the star in the full Moon Knight costume.

The Moon Knight series has yet to be released. Filming is believed to begin later this year and the first season will launch next year, further expanding the Marvel Cinematic Universe on Disney +. So far, we know that the episodes will be directed by Mohamed Diab and the writing team includes Jeremy Slater, Don Perlin and Doug Moench.
