Apparently, Marvel is on the hunt for some of the most talented individuals in the industry to bring one of their most popular super villains to life, amongst the actor who are qualified is Jim Carrey, who’s name has sounded on more than one occasion.

With many new movies coming to the MCU in the coming years, it means a whole new line of villains will finally make the leap from comics to the big screen.

Carrey has been on a comeback streak lately and his fans couldn’t be happier about it. His Showtime series Kidding continues to receive good reviews and his performance in Sonic: The Movie is relatively reminiscent of his days as Ace Ventura and The Mask.

According to media reports, Carrey is one of the names being considered at Marvel to bring life to MODOK. Fans have been speculating on the arrival of the infamous Marvel villain since 2014 in Captain America & The Winter Soldier and have long awaited his entry into the MCU.

It is presumed that MODOK will appear in the She-Hulk Disney + series. And while it will just be a cameo on the show, it is said that he will have a bigger presence in the third installment of the Ant-Man franchise.

The Benefactor, who hired Sonny Burch in Ant-Man and the Wasp, will be the main villain of the film, but apparently MODOK will also have a role.

And as for Carrey, he is a multi-talented actor who can put on any eccentric character. This is why it is not the first time he is linked to an MCU role, clearly Marvel wants to work with him and with the comeback streak he has right now, it could be the perfect time to get him involved in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
