Although we know a lot about the history of these twin siblings, there are still several sections of their life together that we know nothing about. But if Lucasfilm has learned their lesson, they will not derail too much from the original story unless you are as good as Jon Favreau, who has amassed 15 Emmy nominations with ‘The Mandalorian.’ This is why Luke and Leia will return in their own ‘Star Wars’ series.

Currently ‘The Mandalorian’ is about to launch its second season in October with “new” characters, even without official confirmation, the rumors about Ahsoka Tano and even Boba Fett are strong. Two of the other productions being created for Disney +, are Cassian Andor with Diego Luna and Obi-Wan with Ewan McGregor.

Luke and Leia will return in a series of ‘Star Wars’ and both are excellent options, however, the Obi-Wan series makes more sense considering that we would encounter young actors who would run into the Jedi on different occasions.

All this information comes from reports announcing that Lucasfilm is looking for two actors between 8 and 11 years old to play characters around that age. Of course they do not give the names of the identities being portrayed, but in that time scheme it is reasonable to speculate that they are looking to fill the roles of the children of Anakin and Padmé.

It is known that the series will begin filming in Los Angeles in March of the following year, so there is still time to make the right selection and correctly find those who could play the most important twins in the series.
