The spin-off of Men in Black Sony Pictures is preparing, Columbia Pictures and Steven Spielberg through its production company Amblin Entertainment has added two new faces to its popular cast. Liam Neeson (‘Taken’) and Emma Thompson (‘Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban’) have just joined the team of this production called MIB 23.

F. Gary Gray directs this new science fiction installment based on the comics written by  Lowell Cunningham. The cast is led by Chris Hemsworth (‘Avengers: Infinity War’ by Marvel Studios) and is accompanied by Tessa Thompson (‘Thor: Ragnarok’), Rafe Spall (‘Jurassic World: The Fallen Kingdom’) and the newly incorporated Liam Neeson and Emma Thompson. The movie does not have an official synopsis but will be released in cinemas around the world on June 14, 2019.

For Liam Neeson this will be the first time participating in this movie saga but Emma Thompson returns once again to the franchise to play agent O, a character she had that already gave life in the previous films led by Will Smith.

Another actor who has joined the cast is the Oscar nominee for best original script Kumail Nanjiani (‘The Big Sick’), like Liam Neeson, it is unknown what role he’ll play in the film.

Months ago Sony Pictures publicly stated that the rest of the cast would be multiracial and would consist of a white woman, an African-American man and an older man.

The American media The Hollywood Reporter has reported that both Liam Neesom and Emma Thompson have been chosen to fill the positions of the white woman and the older man.
