Another reboot. We all know that the reason for this reboot is because the original version was, at the time, a blockbuster hit. This new delivery will be even more feminine driven than ever. The cast includes Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska. For her role, Elizabeth Banks will not only be the director of this film, but will also play the role of Charlie Bosley.
In September of 2017, the first information about Stewart’s participation in this film surfaced, but until today it was not known which other two interpreters would round out the trio of protagonists. Scott has been part of the cast from the recent Power Rangers and Balinska is an unknown British actress who will make the leap to Hollywood with this film.
“I could not be more excited to work with Kristen, Naomi and Ella to bring this movie to fans around the world,” Banks said in a statement. “This film honors the legacy of Chales Townsend and his agency by presenting a new generation of modern and global ‘angels'”, she commented about her girls, who will be the new replacements of Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Luci Liu.
Charlie’s Angels began as a series, which aired between 1976 and 1981. After a couple of movies released in 2000 and 2003. And now, a new reboot , also in the form of a film that, apparently, we will be able to see in September 2019. A story that, from the first chapter to the last, as Banks said , “celebrates empowered women.”
