Episode three of the second season of The Mandalorian was extremely significant, as it brought a popular character from the Star Wars animated universe to live-action for the first time. It is not about Ahsoka Tano, who has already been mentioned, by Bo-Katan Kryze, the Mandalorian warrior played by Katee Sackhoff. While Ahsoka will be played by Rosario Dawson on the show, Ashley Eckstein played her in The Clone Wars and Rebels, Katee Sackhoff has played the same character in both mediums. And she could soon get to play Bo-Katan in a movie.

According to new reports, Lucasfilm is thinking of giving Katee Sackhoff her own Star Wars movie. Although for now it is not known if it will go to theaters or directly to the Disney+ platform.

First up is the Boba Fett miniseries with Temuera Morrison, following his brief cameo in the season 2 premiere. An Ahsoka Tano show is likely to be in the works as well, especially if her participation is as shocking as fans expect. Therefore, Bo-Katan’s adventures will be better explained in her own movie. Especially with an actress as important as Katee Sackhoff attached to the character.

Judging by the plot holes she left from her recent appearance, a spinoff movie could explore how she went from owning the black saber and planning to use it to unite the Mandalorian people, to losing it to Moff Gideon and becoming an outlaw rebel once again.

However, if season 2 of The Mandalorian ends up explaining all of this, then maybe a Bo-Katan movie could go on from there and show what happens to her next. What is clear is that Katee Sackhoff will continue to explore the history of this Star Wars character.
