John Wick has returned to brighten the day for action movie lovers. Lionsgate has released the highly anticipated first trailer of ‘John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum,’ the latest installment of the amazing franchise led by Keanu Reeves. Following the logic of the sequels, this third film promises more action, more drama and more fun.
‘John Wick 3’ opens in theaters on May 17. The story starts right where the second part ended, with the deadly assassin played by Reeves being chased after killing a member of the Grand Mesa at the Continental Hotel. They offer 14 million dollars for his head and the hunt is going to be brutal…
The manager of the Continental ( Ian McShane ) has given the protagonist a grace period of one hour before being excommunicated, losing all the privileges and aid of other members. John must fight and kill while advancing towards New York in search of an exit.
The director of ‘Parabellum’ is once again Chad Stahelski, who also directed the first two installments of ‘John Wick’. The screenwriter Derek Kolstad also returns for the third time, making sure there is coherence for the fans.
Along with Keanu Reeves and Ian McShane, the cast includes Laurence Fishburne, Halle Berry, Angelica Huston, Hiroyuki Sanada, Lance Reddick, Ruby Rose, Asia Kate Dillon, Jason Mantzoukas, Robin Lord Taylor and Mark Dacascos, among others. Sanada is the new great villain who will have to defeat John Wick; the Japanese actor has managed to carve out a successful international career and we have been able to see him in films like ‘Sunshine,’ ‘Mr. Holmes’ and ‘Life’ or in series like ‘Lost’ and ‘Westworld’.
