A Quiet Place, the terrifying film directed by actor John Krasinski in 2018, which won the favor of movie critics and raised a whopping 341 million dollars at the box office worldwide. Twenty times more than seventeen million dollars that it cost to produce it. With this kind of reception, it was most logical that would plan to develop at least one continuation, which will be released on May 15, 2020. We still do not know who will be in charge of it or what actors will be involved. What we do know is that both John Krasinski and actress Emily Blunt, who played Lee and Evelyn Abbott in the first film, will happily return to A Quiet Place 2. One, behind the cameras, and the other, in front of them.
It will be the fourth performance from John Krasinski after participating in Brief Interviews with Hideous Men (2009), The Hollars (2016). For Emily Blunt, we have seen her before movies such as Looper (Rian Johnson, 2012) or The Girl On The Train (Tate Taylor, 2016), and most recently, in Mary Poppins Returns (Rob Marshall, 2018).
“In some ways, the idea of seeing who these people were before this all happened would be interesting,” Blunt told Entertainment Weekly., “but I’m not quite sure because I think actually it’s now what’s the next chapter and what happens next.” She concluded with this: “I think people feel very invested in this family.” And we are sure she is right about that.
…time to go back.
