DC’s future in film and television is still being molded, and one of the filmmakers who will collaborate with projects like Justice League Dark is JJ Abrams, who will be in charge of directing the next Superman solo movie.

With the possible return of Henry Cavill as the interpreter of the Man of Steel, there is a possibility that JJ Abrams is in charge of bringing a new solo movie of Superman to the big screen.

Film critic John Campea assured on his YouTube channel ‘Inside the Magic’ that in one of the agreements between Warner Bros and Bad Robot, the JJ Abrams company, which signed a multi-year contract with the Burbank studio, would be to develop a feature film of the Last Son of Krypton.

In recent days, it emerged that Henry Cavill and Warner Bros. executives resumed negotiations for the British actor to play Superman again, although his return will initially be through a cameo in Black Adam, Shazam! 2 or Aquaman 2.

As the head of Bad Robot, JJ Abrams will be a content provider for all platforms owned by Warner Bros, including HBO and DC, which opens the door to make a movie about Superman.

JJ Abrams pointed out that although his company Bad Robot and Warner Bros. reached a collaboration agreement, the projects that both companies would develop for DC Comics have not yet been established.

“I have not had one official conversation with Warners at all about this, but people have asked me this question and I know that we, Bad Robot, we recently signed a deal with WarnerMedia, we will begin in earnest all discussions about what’s coming next. But, I know no more than you do about what’s next, certainly in terms of DC, ” said the director.
