Jason Momoa, the latest actor to play Aquaman for DC Cinematic Universe, will be the protagonist of a new series of science fiction from Apple that will be called See.
According to a Variety report, Apple’s original series is described as epic, and will be based on a drama set in a futuristic world. Momoa will be Baba Voss, a brave warrior, leader and guardian of the planet.
See was written by the British Steven Knight and will be directed by himself. Momoa, best known for his short lived character in Game of Thrones, where he played Khal Drogo, has been working with DC Cinematic Universe to bring to life an Aquaman totally different from the cartoon.
Momoa participated in Justice League, in the Netflix Frontier action series and has co-written and co-produced the film Road to Paloma.
This is the last big name that joins the list of Hollywood stars that would help boost a possible television service and content on demand from Apple. Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon will also participate in this project of the Cupertino company, both will have a dramatic series.
Although Apple has not confirmed whether it will launch a television service, the latest rumors bet on the launch of a TV, music and news service, where users can buy a single package, or each one separately.
