More and more clues suggest that Mephisto, the lord of Hell, may be the great villain controlling everything from the shadows in WandaVision. And the return of Evan Peters as Pietro / Quicksilver, has only fueled theories. Now, a spectacular fan art ventures to imagine what Pietro would be like if he revealed his true identity.

The spectacular concept art of Peters as Mephisto comes courtesy of Raf Grassetti, character designer for the God of War video game franchise. In it, the features of the actor from the X-Men franchise are combined with the classic appearance of the Devil. And the result, which could not go any other way, is as creepy as it is brilliant.

With a God of War style design, Mephisto looks as menacing as what you would expect from the devil himself. However, at the moment there is no way to confirm that Pietro is indeed the villain in disguise.

Quicksilver’s return to WandaVision remains a mystery, possibly not resolved until the end of the season, but fans are already crying out to see Mephisto, and Marvel often lives up to its audience’s expectations.

Episode 6 already gave enough clues that Pietro knows more than he claims to know, although he contends not to remember why his appearance has changed. Perhaps Wanda, in her quest to get her brother back, has managed to bring him back, or perhaps there are other unseen malevolent forces working against Scarlet Witch and Vision, which just might bring chaos to the MCU.
