When we think about Marvel’s character Wolverine, it is impossible not to have the only actor who has ever played the role come to mind, Hugh Jackman. You could even say that his image is just as iconic as the classic one from the comics where the mutant is drawn wearing the orange suit. Thanks to all of the different films he starred in, he received a Guinness Record certificate for his extensive career as the character.
His first appearance as Wolverine dates back to the original X-Men movie that came out in the year 2000. Since then, until his last appearance as the character in the Logan movie which was released in 2017, exactly 16 years and 228 days later. This has been one of the most extensive interpretations that someone has accomplished, playing the same character in Hollywood cinema.
But he was not the only actor recognized by the association, since Patrick Stewart was also awarded for his role as Professor Charles Xavier. Although the character has been played by James McAvoy in the reboot of this particular franchise.
It will almost be impossible to see him again playing the role of Wolverine, even in a cameo. The biggest question is whether the character will appear in the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and who will be the actor that interprets Wolverine.
