A digital artist has brought the “modern classic” side to the Superman costume.
With Man of Steel, Zack Snyder decided to adapt a darker and more nuanced version of Superman. Less jovial and optimistic, he was a superhero in search of his own identity that we followed in the blockbuster. This adaptation did not completely please comic fans, who were very critical about the interpretation of Zack Snyder.
However, there is still a point that managed to (almost) appease everyone: the costume. Goodbye red briefs! This does not prevent some from wanting to see what the Superman portrayed by Henry Cavill would look like in a more classic version of the red and blue suit.
Digital artist Dalton Barrett, offers a modern version of Superman’s costume, including the famous red underwear. At the time when the hero from Krypton was created, its authors were inspired by the outfits of wrestlers, who often wore a pair of tights under their panties. It must be admitted that in this fan art the costume looks good on Henry Cavill. What almost makes us want to see this image become a reality.
For this, however, the British actor would have to put Superman’s cape on again. An event which many fans have been eagerly waiting to see.
