The HBO Max platform is fully cooperating with DC and Warner on multiple projects ranging from series to movies, some of which are incredibly ambitious, such as the premiere of ” Zack Snyder’s Justice League ” or “Wonder Woman 1984“. Now there is another important project being considered, HBO Max is preparing a series of the “Joker“, which will also include other important villains.
The Todd Phillips and Joaquin Phoenix film “Joker” even surprised Warner, considering it was on a low budget and yet became the highest grossing R-rated film in the world. It also won many awards around the world, but despite Warner’s persistence, they still failed to persuade Todd Phillips and Joaquin Phoenix to make a sequel.
According to new media reports, HBO Max is preparing a series of “Joker”, although it will give more attention to the development of Gotham City and various villains.
And the likelihood of there being a cameo or small participation from Joaquin Phoenix, and eventually an adult version of Bruce Wayne or Batman, is not ruled out. The possible plot is still developing.
Interestingly, this is not the only television series that will be produced on the platform related to DC movies, since it also seeks to develop a television series about the Gotham Police and it will be related to the movie “The Batman” by Matt Reeves with Robert Pattinson.
