Apparently there is a new trend going around called Goodwill Date Night and people everywhere are going crazy over it. Before actually going on the date; the couple must buy each other a surprise date night outfit with only a $10 spending limit. This would need to be done in advance as you will want to wash the clothes before going on the date. Then, on the evening of your date you are supposed to wear your outfit like it was totally normal without telling anyone it is a joke. Then, you snap a picture of yourself, post it and challenge two more couples. But don’t forget to hashtag #goodwilldatenight as it is something that has gone viral.

Some people have even made it into a group Goodwill date night where a group of girls goes shopping together and purchases their partner’s outfits while the group of guys goes together and purchases outfits as well. Then, they meet up for the date night and have a laugh about it. They take group pictures and share with the world. According to Living In Yellow there are Goodwill Date Night rules that go as follows: 1) Get a group of friends together, 2) Pick a date for a night out, 3) each couple heads to goodwill before date night with a $10 spending limit, 4) each partner chooses the other’s outfit to wear on date night, 5) go out to dinner in public wearing the chosen outfits and 6) act normal. Ish.
