One of the franchises that seemed to have a great future but lost its magic somewhere along the way was ‘Transformers’. Now, they are working on a new version of this group of robots, but apparently from a different perspective and it seems, it is beginning to take shape. It has been announced that Steven Caple Jr will direct the reboot of ‘Transformers’ and apparently there is already a script in the works..
Despite the fact that ‘Transformers’ was one of Michael Bay’s great endeavors, the latest films failed to hook audiences, but Paramount Pictures does not want to completely end the franchise, so it is working directly with Hasbro to do a reboot of the franchise from scratch. It seems this new version will hit theaters by 2022.
On this day, it has just been confirmed that Steven Caple Jr will direct the reboot of ‘Transformers’, who already has experience in major Hollywood productions like ‘Creed II’. In addition, there is already a script written by Joby Harold, who wrote the script of ‘John Wick: Chapter 3 Parabellum’ and the series ‘Obi-Wan’ that will be produced by the Disney + platform.
Many details are still missing for the restart of the franchise, since the protagonists who will be part of the film or the possible plot are still unknown. However, little by little new details begin to emerge, in addition to other works from the same company, like the animated series made by the Netflix platform which have been well received.
