The future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe seems to be much more extensive than we thought, since not only will there be new characters, plenty were added after the purchase of 20th Century Fox such as Deadpool or Fantastic Four, but despite the fact that it is not known when the arrival of the mutants will be, it seems that they are already being taken into consideration and a recent report indicates that an actor of ‘Cobra Kai’ could be Iceman.
The series ‘Cobra Kai’ has had a great resurgence after being acquired by Netflix, and its most recent season broke audience records. It has remained in the top series watched for its mixture of nostalgia that connects it with the saga of ‘Karate Kid’, movies which also had a youthful cast, that are now reaching new audiences.
In the words of insider Mikey Sutton, an actor from ‘Cobra Kai’ is in sites to play Iceman, as an actor is being considered for this role in the not too distant future for the MCU, specifically actor Tanner Buchanan, who plays Robby, son of Johnny Lawrence. According to this report, Marvel has been paying attention to this actor to possibly bring this mutant to life. Although there is still no rapprochement with the Tanner and the franchise, this casting would imply a new generation of actors are being considered, to take up the X-Men mantle.
Apparently, Iceman and other mutants could make their appearance in a Spider-Man movie, which would serve to introduce these long-awaited characters without the needing to produce a solo X-Men movie.
