Directing this project will be James Bobin (The Muppets, Muppets Most Wanted, Flight of the Conchords ), this week they finally began filming the movie based on the popular children’s series known as Dora the Explorer. A film that clearly is only driven by Hollywood’s obsession with popular brands. Otherwise, it does not explained why they would make a live-action movie that could have perfectly been done just for television.

With the production taking place in Australia, Paramount Pictures celebrated the beginning of this project with a first image to its protagonist, who will no longer be the girl from the adventures from the small screen we all remember, because the script will transform her into a teenager who has already lived all the adventures that we have seen on TV.

Dora will be played by Isabela Moner, who has had roles in films such as Transformers: The Last Knight and Sicario: Day of the Soldier, and this story will show how after spending most of her life in the jungle, she will face the biggest challenge of her life: HIGH SCHOOL. With her cousin Diego (played by Micke Moreno) and some other teens they will journey and help save her parents while solving the mystery behind a lost Inca civilization.
