The closure of the Star Wars franchise came this 2019 with ‘The Rise of Skywalker’, a film that created more problems than it solved, this due to the fact that it included the return of Palpatine, something that did not please the fans because the character cane back with little explanation as to how, but it seems that fans from a galaxy far, far away want the characters story to unfold and fans want a specific actor to play the younger version of Palpatine.
The character of Palpatine has been the great villain in the first two trilogies, while in this third installment we saw two great villains, Kylo Ren and Snoke, but in ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ it was implied that Palpatine survived and he was behind all the events of the most recent trilogy, something that did not please the fans, since the first villains were done away with.
Through the Reddit social network, many fans have started a campaign requesting a movie be made about this villain. One that brings up his origin, and they want Cameron Monaghan to play the younger version of Palpatine. This because of the actors resemblance and ability to add a sinister depth to the character. This actor, previously did a motion capture and lent his voice to the character of Cal Kestis in the video game ‘ Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’, so he is no stranger to this universe.
In addition to being part of this universe, Cameron Monaghan played the Valeska twins in the series ‘Gotham’, who finally became Joker, in an interpretation that left some doubts and not precisely because of his performance, but because of the development of the series.
