Doctor Who’ has proven that it can transcend time by being one of the most popular series with numerous seasons. To be exact, 26 in the era from 1963 to 1989 and 12 from 2005 to the present. Now, thanks to a new poll, fans chose their favorite Doctor Who, and the results were impressive.

According to the Radio Times portal, a survey was conducted where fans chose their favorite Doctor Who. From the data released, this poll received around 50,000 votes from fans around the world

The final figures were shocking. For numerous fans, their favorite portrayal of the character comes from actor David Tennant. Tennant has been a favorite among many, despite the actor retiring from playing the character in early 2010.

But that is not the extraordinary thing, since what is remarkable to discover is that the current protagonist, Jodie Whittaker, took second place despite the fact that at first several fans disagreed with the decision of the filmmakers to modify the protagonist and choose a woman instead.

For Tennant fans, the actor continues to voice his character in official Big Finish Productions audios, while Jodie is known to return in the upcoming ‘Doctor Who’ special titled ‘Revolution of the Daleks’, which will be out in late 2020.
