A die-hard fan from Barcelona created an almost perfect, life-size replica of Nostromo, the spaceship that appears in the sci-fi horror film ‘Alien’, directed filmmaker Ridley Scott, released in 1979.
Luis Escribano, known on social media as Luis Nostromo, has amassed figures, replicas and collectibles since he was 12 years old. About three years ago, he began to build the ship in his room, but when he ran out of space to continue his replication, he decided to change the environment and recreate the interior of the Nostromo in a 60-square-meter room.
The 44-year-old man admitted to having invested at least 18,000 thousand dollars in the project. “It’s like collecting art,” he justifies himself. Now the reimagined construction is complete and it looks like an ‘Alien’ museum, although it doesn’t actually function the same way.
Many fans of the saga and users on social networks have managed to convince Luis Nostromo to post videos and photos of his work. They want him to show off the ‘Alien’ universe he created, to the world.
