Divers exploring the ocean without realizing find a unique place. They recorded an underwater cemetery in Spain, the footage was uploaded to YouTube and quickly became a viral video on social networks.
Divers found the necropolis 65 feet deep at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean, on the southern coast of the island of La Palma, Spain. This underwater cemetery was built in honor of 40 monks who were thrown into the sea more than 400 years ago.
The crosses were reportedly thrown into the sea 20 years ago to create this underwater graveyard. Few tourists who swim in the area, know about this unusual necropolis.
The video was uploaded by the Vídelo account and the footage was created by Freediving La Palma. Immediately, the clip had thousands of shares and reactions on social networks.
