Disney gave fans this Saturday a look at Cruella de Vil’s new punk rock look, which left movie lovers a some what confused.

Emma Stone plays the evil dog kidnapper “Cruella” in a story of origin of the classic “101 Dalmatians.”

In the original films, both the animated version from 1961 and the 1996 live-action adaptation, Cruella de Vil is a rich and spoiled old woman determined to steal the Dalmatian puppies to create a new fur coat. Now that’s dark.

Similar to the old character, Stone wears a two-tone black and white hairstyle, red lips and black-eyed makeup.

But instead of her fur coat, she is dressed from head to toe in leather.

The new look was revealed during the Disney D23 Expo in Anaheim, California.

Stone made a video appearance during the exhibition, revealing that the film will take place in the London punk rock era of the 1970s.
